Participation does not require this release
You can take the Challenge, record your progress, post publicly, or tag @FretwisePro without granting Fretwise permission to reuse your content. A tag, mention, hashtag, follow, or public post by itself is not treated as acceptance of this release.
Permission you grant when you agree
If Fretwise asks to feature specific content and you affirmatively accept this release for that content, you grant FRETWISE PRO - THE PATH a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to reproduce, display, publish, distribute, and communicate that content for Fretwise-related website, social-media, promotional, testimonial, and advertising purposes.
The permission includes use of the public username or handle associated with the content when appropriate for attribution.
You keep ownership
You retain ownership of your original content. This permission does not transfer copyright ownership to Fretwise, and you remain free to use or license your content elsewhere.
No compensation is owed for an approved feature unless Fretwise and the participant separately agree otherwise in writing.
Reasonable editing
You permit Fretwise to make reasonable presentation edits such as cropping, resizing, trimming, adding captions, combining an excerpt with Fretwise branding, or adapting dimensions for different platforms. Fretwise will not knowingly edit the content in a way that materially misrepresents what you said or played.
Your responsibilities
By accepting, you confirm that you have the rights needed to grant this permission and that Fretwise's approved use will not knowingly infringe another person's copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights. Avoid granting permission for content containing third-party music, footage, or identifiable people unless you have the necessary rights or permissions.
Participants who are minors
Fretwise will require a parent or legal guardian to provide the permission for marketing use of content featuring a minor. Participation in the Challenge itself does not require Fretwise marketing permission.
Withdrawal
You may contact fwpsupport@proton.me to withdraw permission for future uses. Fretwise will take reasonable steps to stop new uses and remove content from channels it directly controls where practical. Withdrawal may not undo material already printed, distributed, archived, or incorporated into a campaign that was already produced or placed before the withdrawal request.
How to accept
When Fretwise asks to feature a specific post or video, acceptance should be recorded in writing. For example, you can reply to Fretwise's request with:
