1. Agreement
By purchasing, downloading, installing, activating, or using Fretwise Pro: The Path, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the software.
2. Purchase, price, and taxes
The founding-release price is CAD $9.99 plus applicable taxes. Fretwise Pro is sold as a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Lemon Squeezy processes checkout, payment, applicable sales taxes, receipts, refunds, and digital delivery as merchant of record.
Prices and promotional offers may change for future purchases. A completed purchase is governed by the price displayed at checkout.
3. Personal software licence
Subject to payment and compliance with these terms, Fretwise Pro grants the purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the software for personal guitar learning and practice.
The standard personal licence is intended for up to two personal computers total, in any combination of supported Windows and macOS systems, unless the checkout or order receipt states a different activation limit. The licence has no scheduled expiry unless the order states otherwise.
The complete version 1 app and all version 1 updates are included. A future major version may be offered separately.
4. Restrictions
You may not:
- Share, sell, rent, sublicense, publish, or redistribute the installers or licence key
- Use one personal licence as a shared classroom, organization, or commercial-seat licence
- Remove proprietary notices or falsely claim ownership of the software
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with licence validation or activation limits
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the software except where applicable law expressly permits it
- Use the software or website in a way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful
5. Licence activation and internet access
A unique licence key is issued with the order. Internet access is required for initial activation and may be required for occasional validation. Activation information may include the licence key, product identifiers, an app-generated computer instance identifier, and information required to confirm the order.
If the activation limit is reached, you must deactivate an old installation or contact support. A refunded, disabled, fraudulent, or invalid licence may stop activating or validating.
6. Updates and support
Fretwise Pro may provide fixes, maintenance releases, and improvements within version 1. Updates may change controls, labels, audio content, or technical requirements while preserving the general purpose of the product.
Support is provided through fwpsupport@proton.me. Support does not include private guitar lessons, custom software development, or guaranteed compatibility with every computer, audio device, or third-party program.
7. Refunds
Refund requests must be submitted within seven calendar days from the exact purchase date and time shown on the Lemon Squeezy receipt. The complete policy is available on the Refund Policy page.
A refunded licence may be disabled, and the customer must stop using and uninstall the software.
8. Ownership
Fretwise Pro: The Path, its code, design, graphics, audio, documentation, branding, and related intellectual property remain owned by Fretwise Pro or its applicable licensors. The purchase provides a licence to use the software; it does not transfer ownership.
9. Educational and technical disclaimers
Fretwise Pro is an educational practice tool. It does not guarantee musical progress, professional results, or compatibility with every learning method.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the software is provided without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Fretwise Pro is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use or inability to use the software, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Termination
The licence may be terminated if the purchaser materially breaches these terms, distributes the key or software, commits payment fraud, or unlawfully circumvents the licensing system. On termination, use of the software must stop and installed copies must be removed.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated for future versions, legal requirements, provider changes, or operational changes. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Material changes will apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms may be sent to fwpsupport@proton.me.
These plain-language terms are intended as a practical launch document and should be reviewed against the final business registration, licence implementation, and local legal requirements before public sales begin.
