How it works
Choose a simple musical task you can repeat across the month—such as moving a chord progression into another fret range, connecting triads, or using chord tones more freely. Keep the task similar enough that your four recordings are useful comparisons.
Choose a repeatable starting task
Use the same progression, key, or musical idea when practical so you can see how your own choices change.
Practise with Fretwise
Use Position Path and the supporting modes as part of your normal practice. The challenge does not prescribe a required number of minutes per day.
Record four progress check-ins
Day 0
Record your starting point before the 30-day practice period begins.
Day 5
Capture an early progress check-in. It is fine if the playing is still rough.
Day 15
Record the midpoint and note what is becoming easier—or what still needs work.
Day 30
Record the final comparison using the same or a closely related musical task.
No guaranteed result
The purpose of the challenge is to create a consistent practice window and a record you can compare. People learn at different rates, and Fretwise does not guarantee a specific improvement, musical result, or skill level after 30 days.
Tagging is not marketing permission
If you tag Fretwise in a public post, Fretwise may view the post, your public handle, and the content you chose to make public. Participation does not give Fretwise automatic permission to download, repost, advertise with, or otherwise reuse your video.
If Fretwise wants to feature a participant's content, we will ask separately for affirmative permission under the Content Permission Release. See the Privacy Policy for more information.
The Challenge is not a free trial
Participating in the 30-Day Challenge does not create a 30-day free trial and does not extend the refund period. The normal 7-day refund policy continues to apply to direct purchases.
